Title and Summary
Associate Product SpecialistSpecialist, Authentication Market Product Management, Northern EuropeMastercard Core Payments provides a set of innovative digital payment use cases (pay card on file, pay as a guest, pay with card in wallet) and the authentication solutions. Mastercard enables issuers, acceptance and digital partners to offer their customers a consistent and secure checkout experience across devices, browsers, and merchants starting from advanced authentication.
The Authentication Product team manages authentication products and solutions including Mastercard Identity Check, Mastercard Passkeys and Mastercard Token Authentication Framework.
We are seeking a specialist with a background in data analytics and/or consulting to drive data-driven research and strategy for our products as they are taken to market in the Northern Europe division. In this role, you will report to the Authentication Market Product lead for the Northern Europe division and bridge the gap between business strategy, data insights, and product development to deliver optimization and growth of our authentication solutions.
You will engage with customers and internal stakeholders, gather requirements, and synthesize strategic recommendations, while your analytics proficiency will ensure sound data driven recommendations leveraging Mastercard’s extensive data assets. Your recommendations and data insights will be used at scale by the broader organization to enable, grow and optimize our authentication products.

Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
• Support customer engagements to drive product usage and optimization, and gather product feedback, whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Regional Product, Customer Solutions Center, account management, and business development
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to gather input and ensure alignment across teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to division leadership, presenting strategic recommendations on authentication optimization opportunities, supported by data-driven analysis.
Data Insights
• Leverage Mastercard’s data assets and data scientist workbench to deliver scalable data insights
• Drive market growth strategies and product performance optimization leveraging Mastercard data assets
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure products are consistently delivering measurable value. Engage with customer facing teams to realize prioritized opportunities
Market Insights & Competitive Analysis
• Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
• Leverage insights to iterate and improve product positioning and differentiation.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in exact science or relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines).
• 2+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or data-driven roles.
• Experience in (or willingness to learn) data science tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or similar)
• Proven ability to drive product strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong story-teller - adept at communicating insightful stories and producing impactful written materials and presentations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable product decisions.
• Interest in payments industry and upcoming digital/authentication technologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-starter with a consulting mindset, able to adapt and thrive in ambiguity.
• Experience in working with data pipelines, and big data technologies is a plus.
• Languages: Entirely fluent in English plus second European language (Dutch, Swedish, other Scandinavian languages).
