Cox is looking for an experienced Data Analytics Manager to lead the identification of improvement opportunities and execute on the development of necessary tools, automations, and analytics that ensure senior leadership visibility to agreed upon Enterprise Supply Chain performance metrics. The Data Analytics Manager will Partner with all Supply Chain teams and business partners to translate findings into data-based recommendations and metric reporting that will improve end-to-end Supply Chain operations and efficiencies. The qualified candidate must be able to research and benchmark end to end Supply Chain best practices across industries and develop and implement process to optimize operational effectiveness for Supply Chain (strategic sourcing, procurement, & operations). Qualified candidates must be able to identify conflicting business practices, including lack of access to data, and be able to design, build and implement creative solutions. This position has a high level of visibility and interaction with senior leadership and a variety of other departments and business functions. The role requires an individual who has experience in analyzing and interpreting data, understanding business operations to the extent required to recommend impactful and actionable KPI’s. Qualified candidates should have a high degree of curiosity, excellent communication skills, the ability to build and manage relationships, and operate with little oversight.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Define business problems, scope the analyses, and identify solutions in partnership with Supply Chain and various other financial and operational teams.
Translate analyses into recommendations to improve Supply Chain functions through enhancements, self-service tools, or automation.
Lead and support the measurement and communication of the causal impact of key initiatives on business planning and Supply Chain strategy.
Support the process of continuous operational improvements, industry benchmarking and key performance indicator measurement to increase the effectiveness of the various Supply Chain functions.
Support the development of Supply Chain business planning models and analytical tools.
Develop effective leadership presentations and documents that clearly communicate results that align with business issues and challenges.
Communicate complex information in a simple clear and concise way.
Contribute to resolving cross functional implementation issues and challenges.
Oversee the development of tools, tests, and dashboards to enable implementation of insights.
Support testing, training, and development of new business practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
BS/BA in quantitative field strongly desired (i.e. statistics, QM, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, etc.) with 6 years of experience in a related field; OR 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
5 or more years of experience required developing and implementing analytical solutions in Finance, Marketing, Sales, or Supply Chain.
Advanced analytics and reporting skills along with data story telling.
Extensive knowledge and experience with BI / Analytical tools such as Python, R, Tableau, etc. as well as SQL and data manipulation. Excel and PowerPoint.
Extensive teamwork, communication, presentation, and time management skills (prioritization) to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Basic understanding of project and program management concepts and some experience with project management
Demonstrated operational, technology, and business analysis expertise.
A self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and relationships independently.
Ability to influence others to accept recommendations, ideas, solutions, and approaches.
Ability to identify and solve problems that are not clearly defined and that require research, investigation and engagement of functional leaders and peers in other areas to define and solve.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with other functions, regions, and departments within Cox in alignment with Cox values and culture.
Ability to delegate duties and tasks leveraging a team of cross functional direct and non-direct report resources to deliver assignments and accomplish goals.
Strong communication skills; excellent writing and oral communication skills, with specific expertise in management reporting and executive writing
Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Data warehousing, architecture, and governance experience to maintain and guidance on the strategic direction of an existing data warehouse.
Preferred
MS degree + 4 years of experience in quantitative field strongly desired (statistics, QM, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, etc.); OR Ph.D. + 1 years of experience in a related discipline.
Advanced degree in Business, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other analysis related fields preferred.
Certification in CAP (Certified Analytics Professional) and/or SAS Foundation Certifications (Certified Base Programmer or Advanced Programmer) preferred.
Experience within telecom, consumer package goods, retail, financial services, or consulting service preferred.
Operational analytics including application for Finance, Business Ops, Field Operations, and Engineering / Outside Plant preferred.
