As a Junior Data Scientist at Element Fleet, you will apply your analytics skills to transform our vast data into a tangible business value. You will work within the Data Science team to deep dive into complex datasets, analyze information and provide data insights, communicate your findings and collaborate on product development. Outcome of your work will serve multiple business purposes, from commercialized software solution development, driving internal business decisions, to provide decision making data for external clients consulting.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical implementations
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and collaborate to automate data through different techniques
• Use statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Influence the roadmap of proprietary data collection agents and data collection processes
• Build predictive models with large amounts of data/information to discover and articulate trends and patterns to anticipate future behaviors and optimize our current product strategy
• Bring innovative Machine Learning techniques from training to deployment in Snowpark (or similar) and propose solutions that create business value derived from available data
• Create and maintain timeseries forecasting and anomaly detection models that will run into a high accuracy and perform stable through the time
• Propose solutions that create business value derived from available data
• Effectively collaborate with all Business units, IT Solutions companies & global team to drive actions that maintain and win new business successfully
• Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
• Maintain and be responsible of the changes needed to Power BI dashboards

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an area related to IT, engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc.
• 0-2 years of experience in positions related to data analytics / data science
• Experience in data transformation, automation of manual processes
• Power BI or another related business intelligence tool(s)
• Structured programming languages knowledge and creation of scripts (desirable R/Python)
• SQL language and use of ETLs and stored procedures (understanding of them desirable)
• Experience with tools for data modeling, data cleansing
• Proficient in using JIRA or similar
• Intermediate English (B1 and up)
