Using deep learning, cloud-based computing, and our proprietary process, our solution autonomously optimizes existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control systems for maximum impact on energy consumption.

 

An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate to be part of a fast-growing company. We are seeking an AI Controls Engineer – HVAC Automation to join the team!

 

What you will do

  • Deploy, test, measure & verify AI control algorithms for existing building control systems
  • Analyze and improve the building control system to optimize the energy consumption and the zoning comfort
  • Contribute to the development of the different HVAC algorithms
  • Onsite edge device installation and commissioning
  • Participate cross-functionally with teams for building deployments & performance analysis
  • Work closely with customers to develop new HVAC control sequence, advise on repairs control systems
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning BMS & HVAC control systems and devices
  • Improve company tools, templates, and processes related to energy consumption analysis and building performance analysis
  • Able to understand HVAC mechanical plans and wiring diagrams
  • Provide training and follow-up training on HVAC system controls to customers
  • Document work processes and procedures
  • Identify, analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provide, analyse and review performance reports & advise corrective action plans & review feedback with different departments.
  • Other tasks as assigned

What you will need to be successful

  • DEC or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field
  • 5 plus years of experience with building automation and HVAC control system
  • Experience with DDC, PLC or similar programming in BAS and HVAC control
  • In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, electrical and building operation
  • Experience with commissioning building HVAC automation controls and systems
  • Thorough understanding of building control theory and concept
  • Diverse experience in proprietary controls is a plus (JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Alerton, Delta, Niagara, Schneider/TAC, etc.)
  • Experience with building management system protocols like, BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, charismatic and able to present easily.
  • Strong Energy Management and performance checking skills.
  • Strong Trend log reading, analysis, finding actionable insights & reporting skills .
  • Familiar with the programming language python
