We are looking for a Controls Engineer | Post Deployment – HVAC Automation to help shape the future of smart buildings.

 

What you will do

  • Deploy, test, measure, and verify AI-driven control algorithms within existing building automation systems.
  • Analyze and enhance building control systems to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative HVAC control algorithms.
  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot edge devices on-site.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on building deployments and performance analysis.
  • Work closely with customers to develop and refine HVAC control sequences and provide expert recommendations.
  • Diagnose, test, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC control systems.
  • Improve internal tools, templates, and processes related to energy analysis and building performance.
  • Interpret HVAC mechanical plans and wiring diagrams.
  • Provide hands-on training and ongoing support for customers on HVAC system controls.
  • Document processes, analyze issues, and implement timely solutions.
  • Generate performance reports, propose corrective actions, and collaborate with different teams to drive improvements.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What you will need to be successful

  • Education: DEC or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in building automation and HVAC control systems.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong background in DDC, PLC, or similar programming for BAS and HVAC control.
  • In-depth knowledge of building automation, HVAC, electrical systems, and building operations.
  • Experience commissioning and troubleshooting HVAC automation controls and BMS.
  • Familiarity with building management protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
  • Proficiency in Python programming is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to interpret trend logs, analyze data, and identify actionable insights.
  • Charismatic and comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
