ML Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic mid to senior level machine learning engineer to join our dynamic and growing team at LeoVegas. The ideal candidate will have an open-minded attitude and be eager to learn. You will get the opportunity to work hands-on in the entire lifecycle of putting machine learning based applications in production.

Our team is responsible for providing the entire organisation, including all brands and markets, with algorithms for decision-making support, product personalization, and optimization and automation of business processes. Our project portfolio is diverse and constantly growing. Examples include churn prediction, lifetime-value prediction, player risk assessment models (responsible gaming), money laundering detection, and recommender systems to name a few.
 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Design, build, and optimize machine learning models to meet business objectives, while adhering to new regulations.
• Continuously improve and maintain existing models to enhance their performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) to seamlessly integrate machine learning solutions and align with company goals.
• Analyze and transform data using SQL to prepare datasets for model development, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Conduct A/B testing and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and promotions.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code for machine learning models, and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated model training and deployment.
• Ensure model performance and reliability by setting up monitoring systems and addressing issues like model drift.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Experience  researching, developing, deploying and maintaining machine learning models in a production environment for at least 2 years
• Understanding of fundamental concepts in statistics and machine learning
• Strong software engineering skills with a focus on writing clean and maintainable code
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with SQL, Git and Docker
   

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience in any of the following techniques or systems: Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Airflow, GitHub, Kubeflow, scikit-learn, Stan, survival analysis, Bayesian statistics, causal inference, TensorFlow, time-series forecasting and XGBoost.
