As part of our development, we’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to strengthen our data infrastructure and support our growing data needs.
Mission
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a scalable and reliable data infrastructure. You’ll work closely with software engineers and product teams to ensure data availability and consistency, optimize storage and queries, and enable efficient reporting and analytics across the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across our data architecture.
- Work with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data workflows into our SaaS platform.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for processing and transforming large datasets.
- Optimize database performance and storage solutions for scalability and cost efficiency.
- Contribute to the analytics section of the application, working alongside frontend and backend engineers
- Implement monitoring and logging to detect and resolve data pipeline issues proactively.
Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Languages: Strong expertise in SQL for data processing.
- Data Processing: Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformations.
- Databases & Storage: Proficiency in PostgreSQL, DuckDB, AWS S3.
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Familiarity with AWS QuickSight.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD.
- Application Stack: Some familiarity with React, Next.js, and NestJS is a plus, as data engineers may contribute to analytics-related features in the application
- Performance & Optimization: Ability to optimize queries, improve data pipeline performance, and manage cost-efficient storage solutions.
- Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, product-oriented approach, and ability to work in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Bonus: Experience in sustainability-related data projects.
