About the role: 

We're delighted you’re interested! As a Junior Data Engineer with our team, you will play a key role in crafting digital solutions that make insurance user-friendly. Join us during this exciting period of transformation into the Allianz Direct Group. You'll have the chance to design and implement data pipelines, improve cloud-based data infrastructure using Amazon AWS, and enhance existing data models to ensure quality and governance. Throughout this process, you'll focus on delivering high-quality code that emphasizes correctness, simplicity, and performance.

Must Have:

  • Proven ability in building data pipelines and using data technologies
  • Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL datastores
  • Experience in software engineering in any modern language (Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin)
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently

 

Nice to Have:

  • 1-5 years of work experience in building data pipelines and using data technologies (in SQL and software engineering)
  • Familiarity with a fast-paced startup environment
  • Willingness to work with individuals across different time zones and cultures

For the Netherlands, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 51,000] and [EUR 77,000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: ​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,​
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
