About the job:

The NielsenIQ Data Modeling & Analytics (DM&A) team is uniquely qualified to serve as our clients' research partner. We have different solutions catering to different research requirements, backed by significant consulting experience, with global reach and local presence. We provide robust business forecasts through various statistical models & analysis.

 

This role in the DM&A team will require providing end-to-end analytical support to its internal clients- from consultation on methodology and study design to data estimation using state-of-the-art discrete choice models & other predictive models. This role will ensure that our service offerings continue to evolve seamlessly to better address client objectives, and we are well-equipped to provide the technical assistance required to realize these developments. This role will require contributing to automation and research work using your statistical knowledge and programming skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on various proprietary modeling techniques including Discrete Choice models, different predictive models & other pricing research techniques.
  • Use advanced statistical analysis to analyze results and draw meaningful insights & inferences.
  • Consult with internal clients on existing products and methodology.
  • Contribute significantly to research and developmental initiatives through strong programming skills, analytical thinking, and automating processes.
  • Take full ownership of assigned tasks, with the capacity to take on multiple concurrent projects.

About You:

 

You've dabbled in data. You've perused analytics. You have very sound programming knowledge. You have the communication chops to translate it all into conversations or presentations.  Your ability to grasp the bigger picture is complemented by meticulous attention to detail, essential for navigating the dynamic landscape of digital media measurement. Keeping abreast of developments in big data, you are poised to drive innovation and influence the future direction of the field. You are extremely proficient in writing code & model development.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree either in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science. (Mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in R-programming and Python knowledge. (Mandatory).
  • Sound knowledge of other programming languages like Java, and analytical applications like SQL & VBA (Preferable).
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of various statistical techniques, methods & theories.
  • Possess extremely good communication skills.
