Job Description:
This job is responsible for handling moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations and tax reporting. Key responsibilities include analysis, research, reconciliation, reporting data validation and resolution of issues and identified customer requests which may carry high levels of risk within enterprise risk categories. Job expectations include handling moderately complex transaction processing, reconciliation, and resolution of research requests to clients, consumer reporting agencies or taxing authorities, consulting with management for support.
Line of Business Description
The Financial Data and Reporting Ops Analyst will be responsible for the quality assurance of monthly brokerage statements to ensure timely and accurate delivery to the client. This is accomplished through mid-month, three week and month end audits. Additionally, responsible for other quality assurance processes including but not limited to Fiscal statements, Visa Signature statements and Disclosures.
The associate will be responsible for actively participating in self-identified and risk identified audit issues, risk assessments and enterprise independent testing related to brokerage statements. They will also assist with the upkeep and creation of existing and new procedures. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has excellent communication skills and can effectively perform multiple time sensitive processes in a quick and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the auditing and quality control of Domestic and International monthly brokerage statements up to 3 times a month, as well as supporting additional various audits throughout the month.
- Act as a liaison between the Statement Quality Assurance Department, the Data Center, print facility, and Marketing.
- Support branch and home office employees regarding statement inquiries and/or requests.
- Work closely with the Project Enablement, Statement Strategy, Client Correspondence and Trade Confirm Teams to support departmental and external business initiatives impacting the statements and/or trade confirmations.
- Support the ongoing data improvement initiatives associated with statement processing.
- Manage complex tasks on the Statement Audit team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs moderately complex activities supporting credit disputes, escalations, and tax reporting while following established written procedures and guidelines and ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Researches and resolves moderately complex financial data requests or exceptions based on analysis of assembled data in an accurate and timely manner
- Performs routine analytics, report creation, and exception processing
- Identifies risk and opportunities for process improvement based on an understanding the work impacts other operational units and escalates risk concerns, as appropriate

Required Skills

Desired Skills
- Previous brokerage statement knowledge and experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the brokerage and banking industry is beneficial. College degree is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
