TRANSPORT PLANNER / TRANSPORT SCIENTIST

[What you will be working on]
Would you like to apply mathematical, modelling or data science skills in solving the next generation of transport analytics or modelling challenges in Singapore?

As a Transport Analyst or Modeller in our Transport Science Unit (TSU) team, you will help shape Singapore’s urban transport environment now and for future generations. You will be part of a core team of analysts, modellers and software engineers who are building the next generation of transport data analytics, models and applications.

TSU has a dynamic culture where conversations are free-flowing and highly engaging. You will have the opportunity to interact with different types of planners, technical experts and technologists, from diverse backgrounds ranging from economics, mathematics, civil engineering and data science. This culture helps us generate the thought leadership necessary for planning Singapore’s future transport needs.

[What we are looking for]
We are seeking a person who has deep skills in maths, modelling or data science and is interested to work on transport data analytics, models and systems. Prior work in the transport domain is not required.
• You have knowledge in any discipline, preferably in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Social Sciences with an analytics or maths specialisation, or other related disciplines.
• You have at least 2 years of experience in any key competency such as data science/ modelling/ analytics or other related work.

For the role of Data Analyst
• You are familiar with relational databases and have some hands-on experience coding in SQL and Python
• Knowledge of Tableau or other visualisation tools is preferred

For the role of Modeller
• You are proficient in one or more of the programming languages such as Python or R
• You have some experience in the creation of mathematical / software models
