Duties: Develop quantitative techniques to assist with trading book and mitigating risk with trading team. Use factor models and optimization framework to tune parameters to affect trading. Monitor profit and loss (P&L) attribution through First In First Out (FIFO) methodology and back tests to adjust trading with a source. Daily monitor the optimization system and conduct transaction cost analysis. Utilize Barra market risk model to manage risk of trading book. Conduct Equities market research to analyze business and trading flows. Lead projects and write code to facilitate operation of trading book. Conduct alpha research strategies for factor and specific returns to improve P&L analysis. Work with control functions such as legal, compliance, market and credit risk, audit, and finance to ensure governance and control infrastructure. Respond to client demand in each respective product and market and coordinate with desk analysts to develop franchise. Use Python and KDB programming to design back-test strategies and pull data for trading analysis. Coordinate with sales, research, capital markets, and securities services to assist with trading book, generate revenues, and assist risk. Manage Risk of Trading books and operations of Central Risk Book (CRB) by utilizing quantitative analysis of trading strategies. Conduct trading systems automation and troubleshooting. Perform quantitative analysis of stock returns and trading strategies performance. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computational Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field and 2 years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst, Quantitative Analysis Program Analyst, Trader, or related position involving quantitative analysis and model risk management to monitor trading for the banking industry. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the specified fields and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the above positions. 2 years of experience must include: Quantitative analysis; Barra market risk model; Python programming; KDB programming; Equities markets research; and Financial modelling.
