Role Summary

• The V&I Medical Analytics Center Data Scientist (Senior Specialist) assists the Value & Implementation (organization in discovering information hidden in data to make data driven strategic decisions for the organization.
• This role requires a unique combination of skills to gain the trust of therapeutic area, regional colleagues and internal teammates, have an innovative mindset to think through novel ways to help us make better decisions, and execute on the idea by gathering the necessary data and developing analytic solutions that will fulfill our internal stakeholders’ needs. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual with technical expertise that can be applied to solve business problems.

Responsibilities and Primary Activities

• Partners with internal stakeholders to understand the needs of V&I
• Develops and owns scalable-analytic products that fulfill stakeholders needs
• Develops and maintains internal databases, data pipelines, and supporting documentation
• Contributes to data stewardship responsibilities
• Designs and develops analyses to draw inferences and conclusions to inform decision-making for V&I 
• Ensures high quality, rigorous and readily interpretable deliverables
• Develops data visualizations and presentation decks to communicate findings
• Provides recommended actions to stakeholders
• Contributes toward a collaborative environment where the ACE team 1) maintains an entrepreneurial spirit and 2) has a strong understanding of healthcare data and technology
• Keeps abreast of the latest trends in the field through continuous learning
• Identifies opportunities in key growth areas

Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience

Minimum

• Bachelor's degree (STEM degree) with 1 year of relevant job experience.
• Expertise in Python, object-oriented programming, and version control (e.g., git)
• Experience with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS)
• Experience using SQL and SQL relational databases
• Experience with statistical methods such as correlation and regression
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 
• Ability to succinctly translate complex ideas and analytical results into actionable insights and recommended actions.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to effectively work at a strategic and a detailed level
• An entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking, and intellectual curiosity
• High degree of personal integrity

Preferred

• Experience in Global Medical & Scientific Affairs
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience with app frameworks such as Streamlit or R Shiny
• Experience with R and JavaScript
• Experience using real-world data including electronic medical records, electronic health records, and medical claims

• Développe et possède des produits analytiques évolutifs qui répondent aux besoins des parties prenantes
• Développe et maintient des bases de données internes, des pipelines de données et de la documentation de support
• Contribue à la gestion des données responsabilités
• Conçoit et développe des analyses pour tirer des inférences et des conclusions afin d'informer la prise de décision pour V&I
• Assure des livrables de haute qualité, rigoureux et facilement interprétables
• Développe des visualisations de données et des présentations pour communiquer les résultats
• Fournit des actions recommandées aux parties prenantes
• Contribue à un environnement collaboratif où l'équipe ACE 1) maintient un esprit entrepreneurial et 2) a une forte compréhension des données et de la technologie de santé
• Se tient au courant des dernières tendances dans le domaine grâce à un apprentissage continu
• Identifie des opportunités dans les domaines de croissance clés

Qualifications, Compétences, & Expérience Requises

Minimum

• Diplôme de licence (diplôme STEM) avec 1 an d'expérience professionnelle pertinente.
• Expertise en Python, programmation orientée objet et contrôle de version (par exemple, git)
• Expérience avec les services de cloud computing (par exemple, AWS)
• Expérience avec SQL et les bases de données relationnelles SQL
• Expérience avec les méthodes statistiques telles que la corrélation et la régression
• Compétences analytiques et de résolution de problèmes solides
