Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $99,000.00 - $165,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer within the network fulfillment and operations data effectiveness team for the development and support of data ETL and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, supporting and proactively monitoring the data ETL and integration solutions in cloud and automation solutions in power platform. This candidate will require strong experience using data ETL tools and SQL. The ideal candidate will work under minimal supervision and possess a deep understanding of data systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:  

Data Pipeline Management: Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines to facilitate deeper analysis and reporting within both on-prem and cloud ETL solutions

Data Collection Systems: Oversee the construction and maintenance of data collection systems, ensuring efficiency and scalability

Data Models: Develop and deploy data models and solutions for existing data systems

ETL Processes: Develop, support and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to convert data into usable formats

Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency

Data Security: Implement and maintain robust data security measures to protect sensitive information

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, systems, and workflows

Data Monitoring and Alerting: Implement alerting mechanisms to notify the team of any issues or anomalies in the data systems

Loggin and Issue Resolution: Identify and fix problems with data systems to ensure smooth workflow and minimize downtime

Automations: Supporting solutions within PowerPlatform from a data collection and integration standpoint

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in design and developing data engineering solutions.
  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years’ experience in a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies around data engineering/analytics
  • Demonstrates skills in data engineering tasks, including data ingestion, data prepping/structuring, and data analysis for specific projects across multiple ETL tools
  • Experience in source system data analysis, designing data models and ETL pipelines  using Spark, Python Shell for data ingestion and reporting
  • Cloud ETL experience preferably in AWS
  • Highly skilled at writing and optimizing SQL queries

Preferred:

  • Experience in ETL pipeline development( like Tableau Prep/ Informatica/SSIS experience to support and convert existing ETL solutions to cloud)
  • Experience with additional AWS services such as S3, Glue, CloudWatch, EventBridge, EC2, EMR, RedShift, SQS, RDS, IAM, and Terraform.
