Explore our annuity, financial planning advice and investing solutions.The Data Integration Platform Solution Architect is accountable for the design, engineering, delivery, and support for platform products that integrate data from multiple sources in support of critical business processes and operations. Data integration may occur through processes such as Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), Message Queues, Managed File Transfer (MFT), Data Streaming, etc. This hands-on role will provide the data integration platform strategy and guidance for a team of engineers and product experts to streamline our current solutions, while developing and delivering on our cloud strategy. They will have extensive collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Data Architects, Enterprise Hosting, Cloud Architects, and advise on best practices, standards, security, along with maintaining consistent knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate with key stakeholders and platform product owners to evaluate and recommend data integration cloud hosting requirements and select the appropriate technology platforms assuring scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost management
Drive the strategic direction and standardization of data integration platform products to reduce functional redundancy and better manage costs
Design and implement data integration platform products to provide data integration, managed file transfer, data streaming, messaging and other enterprise level data pipeline capabilities to the organization
Collaborate with data architects, data engineering, analytics, product management, and business teams to maintain alignment with data integration platform enhancements or changes in alignment with the organizational strategy
Define monitoring strategy and optimize the performance of data integration processes. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines.
Automate data integration processes, reducing manual effort, and streamlining workflows
Document platform architecture designs, workflows, and processes for presentation and future reference.
Promote adoption of enterprise data integration platforms through effective communication to non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for tool licensing, support, upgrades, service SLAs, and cyber compliance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by developing user guides and conducting training sessions to ensure proper usage of data integration platforms Perform hands-on engineering work in addition to providing high level technical strategy and guidance

3+ years’ experience in solution architecture
3+ years’ experience with cloud technologies
8+ years’ experience with one or more Data Integration capabilities (ETL, Data Streaming, Messaging, Managed File Transfer, etc.)
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Managed File Transfer patterns along with supporting platforms (IBM Sterling Integrator, Partner Engagement Manager, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling File Gateway, Connect Direct, PGP file encryption, etc.)
Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Data Streaming, and transaction processing patterns along with supporting platforms (Confluent Platform, Confluent Cloud, IBM MQ, etc.)
Knowledge of ETL and batch processing patterns along with supporting platforms (IBM DataStage, IBM Cloud Pak for Data, IBM DataStage-aaS Anywhere, AutoSys, Apache Airflow, etc.)
Experience with cloud native data integration products and services (AWS Glue, AWS Transfer Family, Amazon MQ, AWS MSK, AWS MSF, etc.)
Working knowledge on Devops tools (Kubernetes/Containers, Cloudbees CI/CD Pipeline, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, Ansible Tower, etc.)
Automated Performance and Regression/Functional testing; Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, or Bash for automation of data processes
Experience building Data Pipelines with one or more of the technology platforms mentioned above
Anticipated Posting End Date:
2025-03-21Base Pay Range: $124,000/yr. - $170,400/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
