POSITION: Senior Research Associate
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Associate with the following duties: Support the building of data science capabilities in the Computational Oncology group, including NGS pipelines, computational infrastructures, AI/ML platforms; develop applications in R and Python for displaying results from analyses in a customizable and interactive manner; collaborate with data science and data engineering groups and vendors to build and onboard platforms to enhance data storage, query, and visualization capabilities as well as user interfaces and reproducible research; prepare and present comprehensive technical or project reports to a full range of internal and external audiences; work with functional and
program leadership to develop and implement computational biology roadmaps and strategies; use internal and external high dimensional datasets to build novel machine learning models for the selection and prediction of relevant features and outcomes; up to 50% remote work allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field plus 1 year of prior experience. Prior experience must include: Build applications and computational infrastructures using expertise in R, Python, Bash, SQL and AWS to elevate the data science capabilities in the group; Develop next-generation sequencing capabilities using bioinformatics specific orchestration tools to perform genomic data scale analysis; Build machine learning models for the selection and prediction of relevant features and outcomes; Develop and apply computational approaches to support drug discovery and development.
Full time. $86,000.00-$144,000.00 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
