Job Description

The Analytics & Insights team has been a key contributor to driving Domino’s industry-leading growth. They pair strategic thought leadership with the latest analytic techniques in the fields of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and primary research.  The A&I team leverages their skills to drive outstanding consumer and employee experiences to fuel future growth.

This role as a Data Scientist on the Marketing Science team will be primarily responsible for driving efficiency in our National Advertising by robust visibility and granular insights on Domino’s media performance and buy. This role will be positioned to influence the evolution of Domino’s marketing strategies by providing deeper insights into the drivers of Marketing Efficiency. Through data, visualization, statistics, and collaboration you will identify and communicate areas of efficient growth throughout the marketing ecosystem. Embrace the rapidly evolving marketing landscape and be a champion for data disciplined decision-making. This role will work closely with an evolving landscape of Media Metrics, state-of-the-art Media Mix Models, Media AB Testing Meta-Analysis, and Geographic Testing.  To be successful as a Data Scientist on the Marketing Data Science team you should have a demonstrated background of strong communication/collaboration, consulting into actionable outcomes, blending large datasets, mathematical prowess, creativity, and ideally a background in Media Measurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Marketing Science Consultant (50%)

  • Development and refinement of data-driven stories, insights, and presentations tailored for marketing professional audiences, ensuring the delivery of impactful, strategic, and persuasive messages.
  • Create a regular flow of insights from the Media Mix Model and other media insights tools for business stakeholders
  • Create data driven guidelines to direct media testing plans, results interpretation, and media strategy
  • Create reports and visualizations to provide the business timely insights related to top level media optimizations
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the Marketing team on media measurement best practices
  • Develop analysis to enhance our understanding of market and marketing trends in the competitive landscape.
  • Strong mix of influencing partners, consulting, analysis, and creating institutional knowledge (ppts, training…)

Marketing Science Partner Metrics Analysis (50%)

  • Create high-level insights into media performance by leveraging testing results and media KPIs. Present results.
  • Regularly consult with multiple marketing vendors, to drive best-in-class digital marketing measurement guidelines
  • Conduct ad-hoc data pulls and customer segmentation to provide key insights.
  • Work with external marketing vendors and internal marketing team members to construct and maintain processes to ingest, verify, and leverage media, economic, pricing, and competitive data datasets
  • Develop explanatory models of the effects that various marketing attributes have on sales performance
  • Recommend and perform custom statistical testing on high-impact media channels such as TV
  • Develop and guide meta-analysis on Lift testing results to explain the levers for true optimization in Media KPIs

Location; Ann Arbor, MI 

Shift: Standard 40 hours a week. Hybrid Schedule: Monday and Friday - Remote, Tuesday-Thursday- In-office 

Compensation: 95k-105k Based on experience 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Marketing Science, or related field
  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, probability, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.) and experience with their application.
  • Knowledge of a variety of predictive modeling & machine learning techniques (time-series, classification, predictive, etc.) and their real-world application.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data and research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Applied experience with statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) and Proficient in SQL
  • Ability to manipulate data and draw insights from large, diverse data sets.

The following are a plus but not required:  Marketing Science Experience
