Job Description Summary

In Discovery Science, we work in the early stages of drug discovery. One of our main approaches is High Throughput Screening (HTS), where we test hundreds of thousands of compounds in biological assays. We have acquired large data sets which we seek to exploit for in silico methods.


 

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team and work on building property prediction models in early drug discovery. The primary focus will be on developing a prediction model for frequent hitter identification and hit prioritization. This will involve analyzing screening results in correlation with chemical structures and chemotype classes. This role offers a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse team of data scientists, biologists, and chemists, providing a holistic view of the drug discovery process

Duration: 3-6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement models for activity prediction in early drug discovery.

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, biologists, and chemists to integrate multidisciplinary insights.

  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to drive meaningful conclusions.

Minimum Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a master degree (within the last 6 month) in Data Science, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a master degree (within the last 6 month) in Data Science, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Python, machine learning, cheminformatics and statistics.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Languages :

  • English.
