We are a speech and language technology research group situated under CCDS, NTU. The group was established since 2007 and has since focused on machine learning and deep learning approaches in speech and language technologies. Our research interests include but not limited to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Classification and Speech Understanding.

The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop speech input framework to support speech acquisition under noisy and far-field condition.

• Investigate recent machine learning techniques and speech technologies.

• Research and develop algorithms for speech enhancement, speaker diarization, robust VAD, and target speaker extraction.

• Design, implement, evaluate, and deploy of speech enhancement, speaker diarization, VAD, and target speaker extraction modules.

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.

• Organize, document and transfer developed software packages to other team members and/or funding bodies.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields.

• Good expertise in speech technologies such as speaker diarization, speech enhancement, robust VAD, speaker extraction, ASR, natural language processing and deep learning applications.

• Experience in developing and evaluating algorithms in the field of speech technology.

• Familiarity with data collection processes and management for speech processing tasks.

• Proficiency in the following programming languages and frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Kaldi, or similar.
