About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of a Microsoft Azure-hosted web application utilizing Angular as the frontend framework and .NET 8 for the backend. Additionally, the project involves sophisticated data engineering components using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Cosmos DB.

The architect will play a crucial role in providing strategic architectural guidance and improvements while coaching dedicated teams for web application development and data engineering. This role demands strong leadership, strategic vision, and deep technical expertise to ensure the solution is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Leadership:
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of a Microsoft Azure-hosted web application using Angular (Micro Frontend) and .NET 8 (Microservices).
  • Define and implement scalable micro-frontend and microservice-based architecture patterns.
  • Establish strategic architectural vision and roadmap for the application and data engineering landscape.
• Technical Strategy and Governance:
  • Provide strategic direction for frontend and backend development, ensuring alignment with best practices in microservices, micro frontends, and Azure cloud architecture.
  • Drive technology selection, architectural patterns, and frameworks to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Coaching and Collaboration:
  • Coach and mentor dedicated teams working on web application development and data engineering.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between frontend and data engineering teams.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
• Cloud and Database Design:
  • Architect and optimize Azure SQL database solutions ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Design and integrate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Cosmos DB.
  • Ensure data consistency, security, and scalability across the data engineering platform.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Identify opportunities for strategic architectural improvements and optimizations.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Primary Skills:

• Frontend Architecture: Angular with Micro Frontend architecture.
• Backend Architecture: .NET 8 with Microservices architecture.
• Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, API Management).
• Database Design: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB.
• Data Engineering: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks.
• DevOps and CI/CD: Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Architecture & Design Patterns:
  • Micro Frontend Architecture.
  • Microservices Architecture.
  • SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Secondary Skills:

• Security and Compliance: Identity management with Azure AD, security best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Caching strategies, Load balancing, and High availability design.
• API Design and Integration: RESTful APIs, API Gateway.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes on Azure (AKS).
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Leadership and Mentoring: Strong communication and coaching skills for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in architecting and delivering large-scale web applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Angular (Micro Frontend), .NET 8 (Microservices), and Azure cloud services.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native design principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Proven track record of strategic thinking and decision-making.
• Proficiency in data modeling and database design for high-performance applications.
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and cloud architectures.
• Previous experience in coaching and leading distributed teams.
