We are looking for an Data Engineer Associate who will:       •    Build, integrate, and maintain data pipelines following the principles of reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
    •    Ensure and monitor data quality, identifying and resolving any detected issues.
    •    Learn and implement data lake architectures, following best practices such as partitioning, avoiding data swamps, and organizing zones.
    •    Maintain and improve existing data pipelines.
    •    Be able to collaborate with Data teams remotely, not only locally.
    •    Stay up to date with the latest technologies and look for ways to implement them.
    •    Collaborate with our data analyst teams to better understand their requirements and meet the company’s goals.
    •    Document your work to have a solid foundation for new team members or future references.

Our requirements for this position are:

    •    Software engineering or computer science background.
    •    Basic practical experience with Python and SQL.
    •    Basic experience using Git.
    •    Understanding of data modeling paradigms and data lake architectures.
    •    Basic understanding of distributed systems.
    •    Laboratory experience with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., (py)Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka, etc.).

Additional Skills & Plus:

    •    Laboratory experience with Scala.
    •    Basic experience with Databricks.
    •    Practical experience with ETL or ELT processes.
    •    Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    •    Knowledge and willingness to learn different programming languages.
    •    Creative problem-solving mindset.
    •    Attention to detail.
    •    Highly responsible, given the financial nature of our company.
    •    Innovative and proactive, taking initiatives.
    •    Strategic thinking and ability to set goals and achieve them.
