Develop and improve artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-driven (ML) products. Envision,research, and implement high-impact ML / AI solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Manage the creation and maintenance of Python-based production services, serving over 50 million usersmonthly. Continuously update and optimize ML/AI models to ensure platform innovation and leadership ineducational technology. Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team. Build and validatesearch, personalization, recommendation, and/or newsfeed algorithms to develop and improve customer-facing products. Apply and leverage various search and recommendation algorithms to optimize systemsto adopt real-world advantages and drawbacks, including student learning experiences, and measuringtheir success. Utilize ML approaches and techniques to review and analyze data in order to manageambiguity and complex technical problems effectively. Utilize Python, ML libraries, and deep learninglibraries (such as scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, scipy, TensorFlow, SQL, hive, spark, etc.) to access andanalyze data to improve ML/AI components and products. Write clean, understandable, well-documentedcode, and build reproducible models, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Review andidentify biases in data and develop appropriate solutions to mitigate them. Use strong communicationskills (written and verbal) to communicate effectively at all levels, and explain sophisticated technicalsolutions to non-experts, while remaining receptive to diverse voices and perspectives. Maintain clarity,credibility, and forward-thinking approach in all aspects of assigned work. Telecommuting may bepermitted. When not telecommuting, must report to Quizlet, Inc. at 199 Lafayette St, Suite 3B, New York,NY 10012. Salary: $190,000 - $246,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, ComputerScience, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of professional experience as MachineLearning Engineer, Data Scientist, or any occupation/position/job title involving technical applications ofML/AI. Must also have experience with the following special skills: 2 years of professional experiencedelivering production Machine Learning solutions at scale; 2 years of professional experience performingPython programming and SQL writing, and utilizing BigQuery, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform MachineLearning; 2 years of professional experience building personalized recommendation systems utilizingcomputer vision, natural language processing, or ranking; 2 years of professional experience utilizingmachine learning libraries and deep libraries (including scitkit-learn, numpy, pandas, scipy, TensorFlow,SQL, Hive, or Spark) to access and analyze data; and 1 year of professional experience innovating andimproving upon algorithms and methodologies in search and personalization.
