As a Software Engineer 4, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge networking products. You'll have the opportunity to understand the end-to-end testing workflow at technology area, platform/product levels and opportunity to work with industry’s best subject matter experts . Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from solving complex issues to architecting comprehensive testing solutions through AI/ML that benefit our end customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture: Architect complete regression testing solutions that not only meet internal requirements but also provide comprehensive results that add value to our end customers.

Holistic Networking Product Testing: Assume responsibility for developing holistic and long-term testing solutions for our networking products, contributing to their overall quality and performance

High-Quality Debugging: Showcase your exceptional debugging skills, precisely ascertaining the reasons for failures and distinguishing between software bugs and other issues.

360-Degree Technical Assessment: Take a holistic approach to assess regressions from all angles, identifying opportunities for improvements in both capital and operational expenses for the organisation.

End-to-End Testing: Demonstrate a deep understanding of regression testing workflows at various technology levels and across different platforms and products.

Complex Issue Resolutions: Leverage your experience and capabilities to solve intricate testing challenges, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Result Reporting Enhancement: Restructure result reporting mechanisms to enhance their value and comprehensiveness, instilling confidence in our customers regarding the quality of our products.

Collaborative Analysis: Collaborate effectively with Development and Test Teams to analyse test coverage, identify gaps, and efficiently debug technical issues.

JUNOS/EVO Experience: While not mandatory, prior experience with JUNOS/EVO is highly desirable.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify gaps in use case coverage and implement corrective actions.

Test Automation Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages, including Python and Go.

Mentorship on New Technologies: Act as a subject matter expert in emerging technologies and trends, providing guidance and mentorship to team members to facilitate their understanding and adoption of new tools and methodologies. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering (CS/ECE).
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in product testing, with emphasis on L2/L3 protocols, Platform and Subscriber services testing.
• Proficient in artificial intelligence, data mining, and machine learning to effectively address complex challenges through automated solutions.
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, QoS, Firewall, Multicast, MPLS, VPLS, Layer-2 and Layer-3 VPNs, EVPN and VXLAN.
• In-depth understanding of the OSI Model and the TCP/IP protocol suite, including ARP, IP, ICMP, IGMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, and FTP.
• Good understanding of Juniper Controllers - MIST, Paragon and Apstra.
• Expertise in Python and Go scripting language, with the ability to handle complex automation tasks.
• Possession of Juniper or networking certifications would be a valuable asset.
• A solid grasp of testing concepts, including metrics and the defects lifecycle.
• Proficiency in traffic equipment like IXIA and Spirent.
• Strong analytical skills for effective debugging and issue isolation.
• Self-motivated with outstanding interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and testing assignments efficiently.
• A team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
