We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
  The Data Analyst's responsibilities include performing complex analysis in an evolving data environment, defining data architecture needs, creating use cases for data technologies and advancing our collective awareness of and expertise in data analytics and intelligence. This position will interact with new and existing data to improve data usability and quality, find trends, identify insights and provide thought leadership on how to derive value from those aspects of data.  Responsibilities:     
  • Work closely with the marketing team to analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing insights into key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROI, ROAS, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop and implement a Marketing Measurement Framework, evaluating the impact of campaigns and optimizing marketing spend.
  • Coordinate projects, data and operational needs with colleagues to support team objectives.
  • Map and trace data from system to system to solve a given business or system problem.  Document the types and structure of the business data (logical modeling).
  • Perform audits on data and resolve data quality issues.
  • Analyze and evaluate incoming data from many disparate data sources to inform data modeling and design decisions for large data integration projects.
  • Apply data analysis or data modeling techniques to establish, modify or maintain complex data structures and their associated components to increase efficiency of structures and components.
  • Question, define and coordinate analytic needs with project managers, product owners, marketing specialists and other stake holders to prepare requirements and schedule deliverables.
  • Write, audit and execute basic to complex levels of SQL or R code.
  • Perform statistical, modeling and data analyses of business data; interpret those data and analyses; and prepare insights for presentation.
  • Build predictive, quantitative and other statistical models necessary to meet business objectives and execution-based strategies.
  • Design and create data reports and reporting tools to help partners across the enterprise in their decision making.
  • Utilize tools such as Tableau, SSRS and R to develop and communicate data reports, insights and visualizations.
  • Act as internal consultant to business units and product owners to provide assistance in the development of analytical models and unit-based decision support systems (e.g., workload, projection vs. goal, etc.).
  • Offer advice in determining the appropriate analytical methodology to meet the needs and achieve overall company objectives.

Requirements:     

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Data Analysis, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis or Statistical Modeling, etc.).
  • 3 -7 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Previous experience in marketing analytics, with a strong understanding of how to measure and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Proven experience in calculating and analyzing Return on Investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of data administration, repository management, database creation techniques, data warehousing standards, strategies, and tools.
  • Proficient with database and statistical software and product configurations.
  • Strong understanding of and ability to write successful code within applications in use at OverDrive including SQL, SSRS, Tableau, R and others.
  • Ability to interpret data linkages, hierarchies, sequencing and nuances in new data sources.
  • Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels.
  • Ability to resolve problems, conduct thorough research and develop alternatives and solutions.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.
  • Capable of working cooperatively with internal and external customers, as well as being an enthusiastic team player.
