We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to own, transform, and further mature the ETL process and data model creation business-wide. You will get a chance to be hands-on with a variety of technologies and your work will have a real impact on the direction and quality of our services.
What You'll Do
- Work with engineering and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Create and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective data infrastructure using cloud-based EDW technologies (e.g., Redshift) and AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda)
- Design, build, and optimize ELT pipelines and workflows to meet analytics and reporting needs
- Lead technical design and code reviews, setting standards for data engineering excellence and scalability
- Create business-facing data models using DBT Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data infrastructure with strategic business goals and drive innovation
- Own process for and continually review access provisioning to the database, review of database performance, etc.
- Oversee all aspects of design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse
- Monitor and support data pipelines to maintain internal and external SLAs
- Own communication / collaboration between Analytics and Engineering teams
- Work within standard engineering practices (i.e. SCRUM, unit/integration testing, design review, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.) to deliver product features
- Ability to learn and adapt to continually evolving technologies in the big data ecosystem
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Relevant experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing roles.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data modeling and schema design.
- Experience implementing solutions to comply with GDPR and/or other Data Privacy regulations.
- Advanced SQL use and object-oriented programming (preferably Python), with a track record of designing and maintaining efficient, scalable codebases
- Extensive experience architecting, developing, and orchestrating complex ELT pipelines and workflows to meet organizational SLAs for analytics and reporting
- Advanced expertise in cloud-based EDW technologies (e.g., Redshift) and AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda), with the ability to architect and implement scalable, cost-efficient, and secure data solutions.
- Experience using DBT Cloud to create business-facing data models.
- Proven ability to independently scope, own, and deliver large-scale, cross-functional data engineering projects with minimal oversight, aligning technical execution with strategic business priorities
- Demonstrated leadership in defining technical direction, conducting high-impact technical reviews, and influencing team-wide architectural decisions
- Expertise in creating and optimizing data models for usability and performance while enforcing governance best practices, including security, privacy, and compliance
- Proven success mentoring and developing junior engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill technical concepts for diverse audiences and build alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, balancing ideal solutions with practical constraints while maintaining high standards on critical aspects of implementation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 -$167,500. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the base salary range provided in this posting does not include any bonus, equity, or benefits you may be eligible for.
