Delivery Manager

As a Delivery Manager, you will ensure the seamless and successful execution of projects by bridging business and technical teams. This role is responsible for ensuring that business requirements are met, projects are delivered on time and within budget, and technical teams are effectively guided toward achieving business objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation with hands-on development experience, a proven track record of collaborating closely with business stakeholders, and demonstrated leadership in guiding teams and projects.

A Day in the Life of a Delivery Manager at Qualco will include:

• Project Delivery & Execution
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timely, high-quality execution;
• Maintain clear communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on goals, requirements, and priorities;
• Identify and address risks, dependencies, and blockers that may impact delivery;
• Ensure proper documentation and transparency across all project phases;
• Business & Technical Liaison
• Translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring feasibility and alignment with the existing tech stack;
• Guide business teams on technical possibilities, constraints, and trade-offs;
• Work closely with multiple development teams (deep learning, software engineering, data engineering) to ensure technical implementations align with business goals;
• Effort Estimation & Cost Management
• Estimate development efforts, costs, and resource requirements to support business decision-making;
• Work with technical teams to evaluate the feasibility and complexity of proposed initiatives;
• Ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed scope, timeline, and budget;
• Creative & Strategic Thinking
• Proactively propose new initiatives, optimizations, or features that align with business goals;
• Challenge assumptions and encourage innovative problem-solving approaches;
• Explore new ways to improve processes, technology adoption, and team collaboration;
• Adaptability & Industry Agility
• Quickly grasp new business domains and understand industry-specific challenges, even without prior experience in them;
• Apply problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to navigate different sectors effectively;
• Ensure technical solutions are tailored to meet industry requirements while maintaining a strategic business perspective;
• Agile & Backlog Management
• Own and manage project backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives;
• Use Agile methodologies to track progress, manage sprints, and facilitate stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning;
• Leverage tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello for backlog management, sprint tracking, and collaboration.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered;
• Minimum 6 years of experience in technology-driven roles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and backlog management best practices.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or equivalent for project tracking and team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing challenges.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of software development, data pipelines, and/or cloud-based architectures to bridge business and technical discussions effectively.
• Experience on Data Science & Deep Learning methodologies (Forecasting, Segmentation, Anomaly Detection, etc.) and AI technologies (LLMs, VLMs, model finetuning)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and modern development workflows.
