Pricing Analyst 

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Use advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to uncover insights that will guide strategic pricing decisions and optimization opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor pricing, market trends and customer habits to evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies, and recommend new pricing strategies and segmentation, and develop modeling methods to determine potential impact.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of our pricing initiatives, focusing on how we can balance existing donor volume against volume and quality of new donors.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and develop new pricing ideas, leading the implementation of chosen initiatives that integrate company strategy and best practices.
  • Build and analyze pricing tests to understand impact and make sure that we scale the highest return measuring our ROI with accuracy and rigor.
  • Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical pricing initiatives and tests to stakeholders in leadership, technology, marketing, and field functions.
  • Gather business requirements from end users and oversee the build of technical solutions from concept to implementation.
  • Leverage a variety of data mining/data analysis methods in order to test and propose effectiveness of difference courses of action.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Support marketing function within operations department to support agile marketing efforts.

This Is Who You Are: 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audience
  • Strategic mindset with strong organizational, analytical, quality detail orientation, negotiation, decision-making, time management, and process improvement skills.
  • Works well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously with very limited supervision.

This Is What It Takes:    

  • Bachelor’s degree +4 years or Master’s degree +2 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research, industrial engineering, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouse, building data pipelines, and feature engineering
  • Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets (required: SQL, R or Python; preferred: Spark, SAS, Julia, SPSS)
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning models, including regression models, classification models, clustering, dimensionality reduction, time-series models, hierarchical models, etc.; Ability to interpret models and findings and speak to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using machine learning techniques listed above to drive strategic decisions from raw data to actionable insights.
  • Experience in pricing analytics including customer segmentation, customer journey analytics, price elasticity models, and price testing.
  • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik, think-cell, etc.) and distilling data into meaningful graphics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.
