Product Master Data Manager

 

 

Your Role: As the Product Master Data Manager, you will be the primary owner of Product Master Data, establishing strong networks with Product Sub-domain owners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales/Marketing) to effectively integrate and execute comprehensive Product Master Data strategies. You will also map out the future digitalization roadmap. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the structure and definitions of Product Master Data across SKF's operations, units, processes, and systems.
  • Understand business processes to create a cohesive vision for Product Master Data.
  • Act as the authority on information model, structure, and standards in collaboration with sub-domain leaders.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product data integration and flow.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data in all systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to sub-domains and the leadership team.
  • Participate in project meetings and demos regularly.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • University degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Solid experience in Master Data Management as a discipline.
  • Deep understanding of Information/Data modeling and complex enterprise architectures.
  • Experience in defining solutions within Master Data Management, especially in Product Lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes in Engineering, Manufacturing, Demand Chain & Logistics, or Sales.
  • Leadership capabilities with the ability to engage and collaborate in large enterprises.
  • Fluency in English; other language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.


Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of PTC Windchill or similar tools.
  • Experience in various industries (automotive, heavy industries, etc.).
  • Experience with digital transformation in a global company.

Location: This global position requires frequent collaboration and networking via Teams, telephone, and e-mail, with occasional travel. Preferred locations are Bangalore, India, or Gothenburg, Sweden.

 

Reporting To: This role reports to the Director of Digital Engineering & Innovation, based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
