Are you an electro-acoustic engineering student or similar with a strong interest in innovation and a willingness to contribute to advancements in hearing healthcare? Then we have an opportunity for you in our Discovery team in our R&D department.
 

We are a team of 10 engineers and innovators, focused on finding the ‘next big thing’ in hearing healthcare. Here you will get a rarely seen mix of innovatively addressing customer problems and new product concepts, while being part of a reputable global company. You will participate in innovation projects and set up test experiments, conduct measurements in the lab, and collaborate with project members to build the right prototypes to test new ideas and solutions with end users.
 

We are in Smørum, half an hour away by train from central Copenhagen.

Key Responsibilities

In our group, we collaborate with engineers, end-users and the market to quickly mature and test new ideas for people living with hearing loss.

Your primary job will be focused on developing and testing solutions as part of Discovery projects. Some of your general tasks include:
 

  • Spare with project members of the right prototype to build to test the opportunity.
  • Set up test experiments and conduct measurements in the lab.
  • Collaborate with engineers, end-users, and the market to quickly mature and test new ideas for people living with hearing loss.
     

We expect you to work no less than 1½ days a week, distributed to suit both your and our schedule. This may increase in busy periods; however, we also offer flexibility around exams and holidays

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated person with a high sense of ownership – your readiness to take on tasks and execute matters more to us than a specific study program.
 

Furthermore, you should have:

  • Experience with electro-acoustic measurements and testing.
  • Familiarity with Matlab and/or Python.
  • A motivated, self-driven personality, and the willingness to enhance existing solutions.
     

If you furthermore possess some of the following, it will be beneficial:

  • Experience with signal processing tools and techniques, such as Python libraries like NumPy and SciPy.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Knowledge of numerical simulations of acoustics.
  • Knowledge of cross-platform development tools and frameworks, such as React Native or Flutter.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and collaboration tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Experience of developing apps on iOS or Android.
     

We expect that you are also willing to share your knowledge with co-workers and assume you are as interested in following the newest technology trends as the rest of us.
 

We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible and who is in the final year of the bachelor or the first year of the Master. You are a student at DTU, ITU, KU or other relevant education.
