About this role:
Wealth Management Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Data Management Analyst, who serves the data needs of WMIT product groups, applications, and business users. As part of engineering team, you will be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex business & data requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows, drive automation, and support operational & analytical decision-making. The ideal candidate has solid understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and analytical tools, with a strong ability to translate complex data challenges into scalable data solutions. In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex programs and initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activities
- Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gaps
- Analyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and procedures
- Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
- Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution design
- Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
- Drive planning and coordination on moderately complex remediation efforts acting as central point of contact
- Consult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
- Participate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
- Provide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
- 2+ years of experience supporting or designing complex ETL production environments
- 2+ years of data analysis experience
- 2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
- 1+ years of hands-on data modeling, or solid understanding of data modeling concepts
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Python query language
- 2+ years of PL/SQL experience
- Experience in data management related areas such as metadata or lineage, data governance or data quality
- Understanding application & data architecture and solution design
- Understanding of data architecture and strategy
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Position offers a hybrid work schedule
