ERM is seeking a Consulting Associate, Data Analytics to join our growing consulting firm in various, Pacific or Mountain Time Zone. As an integral part of the Data Analytics and Visualization Group, the successful candidate will work on a wide range of environmental projects locally, nationally, and internationally. In this role, the candidate will support a variety of ERM's services and clients with any environmental data management needs.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate data from laboratory, field, and historical sources into ERM’s EQuIS databases.
  • Coordinate with labs, field teams, and project teams to execute field sampling efforts and ensure data quality and completeness.
  • Provide standard and customized database reporting support to project teams.
  • Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors.
  • Perform standard quality checks on data loaded to EQuIS databases.
  • Document and communicate database quality issues identified.
  • Perform and manage multiple tasks within scope, budget, and schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
  • Recent graduate to 2+ years of previous work experience in environmental data quality with strong analytical/database skills.
  • Ability to continually analyze data at all stages for problems, logic, and consistency.
  • Ability to manage and readjust workload to meet changing deadlines.
  • Comfortable working at a desk performing computer-based tasks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Types of Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in environmental data management is preferred, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working and communicating with field teams and/or performing field data collection.
  • A background in chemistry, experience with laboratory analytical databases (LIMS), and relational databases.
  • Experience with any of the following applications: EarthSoft’s EQuIS, MS Excel (intermediate to advanced), Power BI, SQL, Python, R studio and other programming languages.

For the Consulting Associate, Data Analytics (Entry Level) position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $ 62,645– $75,774 (USD).  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).
