The opportunity:

 

As a Metering Data Specialist, you will manage our revenue meter data system and Transmission Use of System (TUOS) billing reporting. This role involves updating and provisioning data, managing software and associated systems, and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders.

 

Further to this you will;

 

  • Oversee the BRAVE meter data management system and facilitate meter data management, standing data management, TUOS billing reporting, data extraction, and testing of Bravo software updates
  • Assist in meeting regulatory information requests and AEMO information requirements
  • Update and provision meter data, manage software and associated systems
  • Assist in data investigations, access SCADA data, and formulate market interval data substitutions
  • Collaborate with Meter Data Providers and AEMO to ensure confidence in data and provide input into metering data in AEMO’s Market Settlement and Transfer Solutions (MSATS)
  • Set up and maintain new metering billing settings for new connections to Powerlink’s network

The people you'll join:

 

Located in our Virginia office, you will be a key member of the Operational Engineering division, ensuring that we are able to provide cost-effective and reliable electricity to Queenslanders. This role works within a support team and reports directly to the Principal Engineer for Asset Risk & Compliance.

What you'll bring:

 

  • Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering coupled with previous experience in metering
  • Ideally you will have further qualifications in Information Technology

 

You will have previous experience using BRAVE meter data management software. You must be able to build stakeholder relationships with technical teams and be able to deliver projects, monitor progress, and achieve outcomes within timeframes. Ability to convey complex concepts and attention to detail, are essential.

 

Ideally, you will have experience using the AEMO Market Settlements System (MSATS). The ability to troubleshoot unexpected behaviour in software applications is a must. Knowledge of NEM metering data formats and associated procedures and standards, as well as AEMO metrology and metering service level procedures and NER rules, is also advantageous.

 

Your proficiency in data analysis and data set comparison techniques, with the ability to differentiate and discern discrepancies, is what sets you apart.
