This pivotal leadership role within our organisation requires a visionary who can provide clear, trusted, and visible leadership for our BI, Insights, and Data agenda. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Division’s Transformation Lead to innovate and enhance service delivery, optimising our common data architecture and AI to drive efficiency.

You will effectively lead the development and improvement of the Capita Public Services BI, Insights and Data provision. You will create and manage a centre of excellence to provide guidance to all Divisional businesses to ensure standardisation of approach, adoption of tools and technologies to deliver efficiencies and excellent client outcomes and share best practice. The role will also work with Group Data colleagues to ensure minimum data standards are met across the Division.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering BI and MI best practice across process, skills, and systems, working closely with the Chief Data Office within Capita Group
  • Identifying skills and knowledge gaps and identifying actions to remediate, working with Group and Divisional colleagues to deliver improvements
  • Delivering analytics best practice, including analytics as a service to clients to be used across the division
  • Leading the professional function of BI, MI and Data Governance
  • Ensuring divisional adherence to the Group data strategy, working with both Group and Divisional colleagues to further shape and improve our approach to data management and delivery across Capita
  • Driving effective Data Governance across the division

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of operating in a large-scale business process out-sourcing environment
  • Experience of delivering market-leading consulting or operational best-practice in MI/BI delivery
  • Demonstrable Leadership credentials and experience leading virtual teams to achieve results without direct control of resources
  • A proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that generate insight and facilitate evidence-based decision making
  • Familiar with best practice data governance techniques
  • A background in inspiring and leading teams operating in a variety of data disciplines, including, data management, data engineering, business intelligence and analytics
  • A proactive, confident problem solver and leader who prefers general direction rather than close management
  • ILM Level 7, would be an advantage
  • Must be able to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
