Are you a Data Scientist with experience in Python, predictive modeling, and a strong focus on the retail/CPG industry? At Darwoft, we bring together top talent to work on innovative projects and develop impactful solutions.
What will you do?
- Data Exploration & Analysis: Process and analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and generate strategic insights.
- Model Development: Design, build, and evaluate predictive models and machine learning algorithms, especially focused on price elasticity and demand forecasting.
- Prototyping & Solutions: Develop rapid prototypes (POCs & MVPs) that solve real business challenges and can be scaled into actionable solutions.
- Visualization & Communication: Present complex insights using clear data visualizations, providing data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of models in production.
What are we looking for?
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the retail/CPG industry, working with pricing models and demand forecasting.
Key Technical Skills:
Advanced Programming: Python (pandas, object-oriented programming), SQL.
Data Analysis: Experience with time series, optimization models, and forecasting.
Prototyping & Testing: Ability to create prototypes, conduct QA, and optimize models for production.
Data Visualization & Storytelling: Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebooks, and NumPy.
- Experience handling big data processing using Spark, PySpark, or Azure Databricks.
- Ability to develop simple interfaces using Flask, Plotly, or Streamlit.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, testing methodologies, deployments, and release management.
