We’re seeking a talented Databricks Engineer to join our team and help centralise and modernise our data infrastructure. This is a fully remote role where you’ll have the chance to work with the latest Azure and Databricks technologies, enabling AI and machine learning capabilities for valuable insights.
About the Role
As a Databricks Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a centralised data platform, migrating legacy systems, and integrating multiple data sources. Your focus will be on enhancing reporting capabilities, automating processes, and helping to drive the strategic vision for data across the business.
This is a remote role, and you can be based in any of our advertised countries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement the Integrated Data Platform, centralising critical business data for strategic insights.
Develop Databricks scripts and scalable data pipelines, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Integrate Databricks with other services, connecting diverse data sources for a unified platform.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to scale resources quickly and effectively.
Manage the migration of legacy data to the new platform, retiring outdated systems.
Support essential business reporting, ensuring data availability for informed decision-making.
Document processes and implement best practices to enhance platform reliability.
Work with a global team to drive innovation and success across projects.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
3+ years working with Databricks in a commercial setting.
7+ years’ experience in data warehousing and data lakes, with a solid understanding of modern data architecture.
Essential Skills:
Databricks
PySpark/Python
SQL
Fluent written and spoken English
Desirable Skills:
Experience with the Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor and advise business leaders on technology use.
Confidence to manage multiple stakeholders and solve complex data challenges.
