People Data Analyst – St Vincent’s Health Australia

About the Role:

Reporting to the People Data Analytics Lead, the People Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting HR compliance through the development, automation, and maintenance of HR reporting and system information. This position will focus on integrating data from multiple HR source systems, including UKG/Kronos, iChris/ADP, Workday, Fit2Work, and Check Work Rights, to generate insightful Power BI reports. Additionally, the role will leverage Power Automate to enhance efficiency by automating tasks and streamlining notifications for HR Officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain HR compliance reports using PowerBI, pulling data from multiple HR systems.
  • Automate routine HR compliance tasks using Power Automate, including email notifications and workflow improvements.
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret HR data to support compliance reporting and decision-making.
  • Support system administration tasks across People & Culture applications.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection in all reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and enhance data insights.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of Human Resource practices and compliance requirements.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of data processing in Microsoft office applications.
  • Ability to engage a range of HR and Payroll systems to manage system administration tasks.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and prepare HR compliance data for reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Awareness of confidentiality and data protection standards.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Computer Sciences, Human Resources, or HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI for report development and visualization.
  • Understanding of Power Automate for task automation.
  • Strong logical processing and basic statistical knowledge.
  • Experience working with Workday.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
