Project Engineer (1-Year Contract) - School Of Infocomm Technology

[What the role is]

This is a 1-year contract position as a Project Engineer in the School of InfoComm Technology.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Project Leadership: Drive AI components into the different projects in Generative AI Hub and research into feasible future projects to further support short courses conducted by school.  

• Research and Development: Stay updated on advancements in Generative AI and apply cutting edge techniques to related projects in Generative AI Hub.  

• Generative AI Hub Maintenance and evolution: Maintain existing and create new Generative AI based project for Generative AI Hub.

• Model Development and Deployment: Design, Build and Deploy Generative AI models and Chatbot applications for Generative AI Hub.  

• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor team members and foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Manage resource staffing for visit and events involving Generative AI Hub. 

[What we are looking for]

• Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or related field.  

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Software Project Management and/or Generative AI projects would be advantageous.  

• Proficiency in developing and fine-tuning Generative AI models such as GPT, GANs or Diffusion models.  

• Strong programming skills in Python and expertise with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch or JAX would be advantageous.  

• Experience in deploying AI solutions in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or setting up self-hosted network would be advantageous.  

• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas or processes to non-technical stakeholders.  

• Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), including transformer architectures and language modeling.  

• Experience in Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.  

• Experience in Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker would be advantageous.
