Function: The Data & Analytics Senior Team Leader manages a team of analysts to meet the data and analytical needs of their designated business partners. Works closely with their assigned partners to understand their business needs for applied data, reporting and analytics. With their team, develops and delivers analytical solutions focused on providing valuable business insights.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Identifies analytical solutions that address the needs of assigned business partners. Effectively delivers, either with their team or as an individual contributor, analytical solutions in a timely and accurate manner, with a focus on the business “so what” resulting from the analytics.
2. Leverages their deep understanding of the business of their assigned partners and proactively identifies and recommends opportunities to create value through applied data and analytics; regularly demonstrates a “can do” attitude to delivering value to the business. Works closely with the assigned business partners to prioritize requests and to effectively manage expectations. Strategically manages the use of analytical tools and data platforms, including the oversight of SAP Business Intelligence and Tableau. Effectively applies relevant advanced analytical techniques to create value-added insights for business partners. Monitors industry trends and best practices in data and analytics to identify and recommend new data environments, tools (e.g. SQL, Python), and methods to apply analytics to grow revenue, improve efficiency, an/or better manage risk.
3. Leads the design, development, and delivery of data visualization strategies utilizing Tableau that convey analytics insights concisely and timely throughout the organization. Develop and maintain the Tableau use-case. Develop and implement Tableau education and communication plans for both analysts and end users.
4. Oversees the development and maintenance of executive dashboards and reports.
5. Directly supervises a cohesive, high performing team that can effectively pivot with the business need; continually coaches team members to develop their consultative skills in support of their ongoing career development. Attracts analytical talent and proactively develops their technical and analytical skills.
6. Ensures the effective design and integrity of data quality. Continually identifies and prioritizes opportunities to improve the accuracy, and reliability of S&T’s data. Develops and directs the effective and timely implementation of projects that systemically address priority data improvement opportunities.
7. Demonstrates a deep understanding of the inherent risk of managing data assets and ensures compliance of appropriate bank policies and regulatory requirements while delivering business results.
8. Maintains a good working relationship with Bank employees. Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
9. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day; operates office equipment: 90% of the day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 90% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20”, distance vision and depth perception for computer work. Education:

Requires a four-year degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, business, economics, and/or quantitative discipline preferred.

Experience:

Ten plus years general business experience with five to ten years analytics and/or management preferred.

Salary Range:

$75,000.00 - $176,000.00
