Your Job

  • You will work in the Data Ops team mainly focusing on improving the data quality of a whole department with automated checks.

  • You will primarily develop and maintain internal Python-based tools, packages, and data pipelines ensuring that data fits to our quality standards (consistency, completeness, correctness etc.).

  • You will ensure high data quality, harmonization, and usability for other data engineers to process the data further into databases.

  • In cooperation with your data quality analyst colleagues, you will deep dive into critical data quality topics, and find automated solutions that - in turn - lift up the data quality shown to our Statista customers.

Your Skills

  • You have very good knowledge of Python and SQL (we mostly use PostgreSQL).

  • Some prior experience with Polars, SQLAlchemy, Airflow or Dash are nice to have, as is experience with prompt engineering, Github, AWS, and Docker.

  • You enjoy the topic of data quality and can passionately spread the need for data quality across other teams.

  • Ideally, you are always on the lookout for novel developments and like to drive the adoption of innovative technologies in our organization.

  • You have strong problem-solving skills and show strong ownership of topics and push projects independently.
