Business Administration | Industrial Engineering internship: operational excellence

By collaborating with multiple stakeholders, from finance to operations, our team brings structure and measurable improvements to how we deliver value to the business. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to dive deep into the work of business engineering, work hands-on with data models, and gain firsthand experience in operational excellence.

Your Assignment

You will focus on the following key responsibilities:

• Enhance Cost and Budgeting Model: Analyze our current cost and budgeting framework and create an improved model that provides accurate, insightful, and actionable financial data;

• Serve as Key User: Act as the go-to expert for the newly developed model, ensuring seamless onboarding for stakeholders across the organization;

• Develop Training Programs: Design and implement training sessions and materials to help users understand and effectively utilize the new budgeting model;

• Document Processes: Develop comprehensive documentation that outlines the model’s features, functionality, and best practices, creating an easy-to-follow user guide.

This is a Bachelor or a Master apprentice internship for 6 months for minimum 4 days a week (3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.

Your profile

To be a fit for this assignment, you:

• Are busy with your bachelor's or master's in Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;

• Are able to translate complex information into user-friendly insights;

• Are skilled in Excel, with knowledge of budgeting tools and financial modeling techniques;

• Are proactive, have attention to detail and are passionate about process optimization;

• Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written);

• (Experience with modeling in Excel, SQL or Python is a plus and exposure to business intelligence tools (e.g., Spotfire, Power BI) is beneficial).

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
