WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join our agile, cross-functional team as a technical leader. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions to drive business outcomes. You will also mentor junior data scientists, helping to expand and develop our data science capabilities at Kraft Heinz. You will lead advanced analytics and data science modeling projects from inception to production, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex data science projects from concept to deployment, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver solutions that create business value.
  • Develop, test, and deploy predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that address business challenges.
  • Explore and analyze large datasets to inform decision-making.
  • Develop systematic approaches to create value-added solutions.
  • Build scalable, interpretable, and repeatable models and statistical products.
  • Engineer new features and experiment with various modeling approaches to develop cutting-edge analytics products.
  • Write production-grade code and work with ML Operations teams to deploy models into production.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending ways to leverage them for business growth.

WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing machine learning and AI algorithms using Python and/or R.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
  • Experience with simulation and optimization software for model prototyping (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools).
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, data wrangling, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that have a measurable business impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex issues in a data science context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Snowflake and Spark.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in modeling techniques, including Design of Experiments, ANOVA, multivariate regression, optimization (discrete and continuous), survival analysis, and discrete event simulation.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$102,100.00 - $127,600.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
