Job description

BMG is looking for an ambitious Data Management Expert. As a Data Management Expert, you take responsibility for designing, implementing and executing all Data Management related capabilities (including Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Traceability, Data Usage, Data Quality, Data Protection, Data Retention and Data Analytics). By doing this in close cooperation with the organisational departments you contribute to BMG becoming the bank which provides top notch services and products for our customers in Cash Pool and Netting.

Cash Pool is in the core of the BMG service offering. Cash Pool concentrates company’s available cash and borrowing needs, to centralize all credit and debit balances of the subsidiaries whenever a large corporate client needs better cash visibility, better FX conditions and committed customer service to help with his broader liquidity management challenges. Netting is a BMG solution to boost cash flow efficiency; it reduces transaction and Foreign Exchange (FX) costs by centralizing the (intercompany) payables and receivables for corporate clients. Payments are essential for both Cash Pool and Netting. Channels ensures clients can access their data in whatever way works best for them, be it via our Megabank system, our mobile app or our connectivity solutions.

What are you going to do

• You formulate a vision on data management in close alignment with our business, services and second line representatives

• You focus on coherent design and implementation of the various data management capabilities making sure risks related to data usage and storage are mitigated in a sustainable way

• You support change execution by providing insights in (changes in) the data architecture and its relations to both the business architecture and solution architecture

• You facilitate fact-based decision making and drive the change towards becoming a data driven organisation

• You create tailormade awareness within the organisation for data related risks as well as the value data can bring and make sure this awareness echoes through in day-to-day operations

• You support BMG’s Chief Data Officer/Data Protection Executive as well as the Business Data Owners and Data Protection Officer in their roles and accountabilities

• You co-operate with Business/Solution/Infrastructure architects and specialists

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Management Expert

• You have at least 3 years of experience in working in an international Banking environment

• You have a master degree preferably in Business Economics, Information Technology or Mathematics

• You have knowledge of meta-models, knowledge and content management, business intelligence, databases and storage management

• You have integral, cross domain knowledge and experience as well as significant knowledge of Data Management, Data Protection and Data Retention related risks

• You actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends in applicable knowledge

• You are an expert with strong analytical skills, using state of the art methods and techniques

• A strong affinity with data, business processes and IT is a must

• You have excellent communication skills both in Dutch and English

• Extensive knowledge of BMG products and services is a prerequisite
