Our challenge
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Lead GenAI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing code and work on various algorithms and AI Governance framework. Develop and implement AI, ML, and Generative AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC / Atlanta, GA is $150k - $170k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI, ML, and Generative AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to AI and ML initiatives.
- Identify risks and associated controls to mitigate within AI lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish consensus and drive accountability
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on AI/ML capabilities, and effective guardrails
- Monitor and evaluate emerging trends in AI/ML and their impact on the banking and financial sector.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on AI/ML governance and policies
- Independently establish clear, concise executable plans and provide daily and weekly progress update
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in AI, ML, Generative AI, MRM/MRO, with a focus on policy, standards, governance, process, risk & controls
- Prior experience with analyzing and implementing NIST Risk Management Framework for AI
- Proven track record of working within the banking and financial industry - 7+ Years
- Prior experience with Internal Audit or Regulatory Issues Management - 3+ years
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to AI/ML, Gen AI
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with solid PowerPoint expertise
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Prior work experience with Truist, especially with Issues Management
- Relevant work experience in AI/ML, GenAI, MRM/MRO in other financial institutions
- Prior development experience with building AI/ML, Gen AI capabilities
- Prior consulting experience with big 5 consulting companies, like Deloitte, EY, PWC..etc
- Experience working with tools like - IBM WatsonX.gov, RSA Archer
- Experience with process maping and RCSA workshops
- Certifications - AWS, Azure Open AI, Google in Cloud, AI, ML, Gen AI
- Experience working in an Agile environment with faster delivery schedules
