Join ESET, a global leader in the cybersecurity industry, in our mission to protect the digital world. We are seeking an experienced Python Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing our Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution, ESET Inspect.

Job description

In this role, you'll contribute to the improvement of core incident detection algorithms, machine learning-assisted solutions, DevOps pipelines, as well as data gathering and analysis.

You'll be an integral member of our Automated Systems and Solutions Department, located in the bustling city of Bratislava, collaborating with a dedicated team of 10 professionals. Together, we'll leverage vast volumes of domain-specific data to continuously improve our automated threat detection capabilities. This includes developing ML-based and non-ML based solutions, and creating internal tools to streamline the analysis of emerging threats.

Our tech stack includes Python, SQL, ORM, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, TensorFlow/Keras, Torch, Scikit, Pandas, Hadoop, Hbase, Spark, Impala, Kafka, ScyllaDB, C/C++, JIRA, Confluence, and Git.

Are you cut out for the job?

We seek individuals with a Master's degree or higher in computer science, machine learning, or cybersecurity. You should possess advanced Python programming skills, with a focus on producing quality, easily understood code. At least a basic proficiency in Linux environments, CI/CD (Jenkins) and containerization (Docker, k8s) is a must.

Experience with ML frameworks and data science (eg. TensorFlow, Torch, Scikit, Pandas) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Kafka, Elasticsearch) will give you an edge. A basic understanding of computer security, network security, or reverse engineering is a plus.

Basic wage component (brutto): from 3000 EUR

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
