*MODEL EXCELLENCE:  The magnitude of our challenge requires our shared commitment to demonstrating integrity, accountability, equality and clarity across communications and decision making. Summary: Vaxcyte is seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate to join our Commercial Manufacturing and Supply Chain (CSMC) organization. This critical role entails active participation in the implementation of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning System and OMP Advanced Planning System, managing master data processes and tools across various supply chain functions, and establishing a comprehensive data governance framework. The ideal candidate will bring deep master data management expertise within the biotech industry, experience in building master data governance, and designing data solutions to bridge the gap until the SAP system is implemented, processes and a strong team from the ground up, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive strategic and operational excellence. 

Essential Functions:

  • Actively participate in the SAP and OMP APS implementation projects, responsible to ensure precise and efficient integration of master data.
  • Oversee the management of master data for supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality functions.
  • Establish and lead a Data Governance Council to uphold data integrity and best practices.
  • Define and manage the data management process to align with business objectives.
  • In the mid-to-long term, build and lead a team responsible for master data management in SAP and OMP Advanced Planning System.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve data accuracy and consistency across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and resolve issues related to master data.
  • Monitor and report on data management performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data management.

Requirements:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (preferred).
  • Minimum 9+ years of supply chain experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries
  • Experienced in SAP ERP Master Data Management, GMP data standards, and respective tools
  • Proven ability to design and maintain a temporary database (e.g., leveraging tools such as Airtable, MS SQL, or similar) for storing supply chain data, ensuring it is accessible and editable by authorized team members prior to SAP integration. Experience with Airtable is highly desirable. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Reports to: Senior Director, Supply Planning Location: San Carlos, CA Compensation:The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component. Salary Range: $158,000 – $185,000 (SF Bay Area).
