Job Description

Reporting to the Marketing Analytics Manager, the incumbent is responsible for improving our use of data, providing strategic data analysis, identifying trends in our customer base and market, and providing appropriate analysis and decision support tools. To do this and meet the various needs of performance analysis, customer insight, technology marketing and data innovation, the analyst specifically needs to have skills in data processing and analysis, able to use programming and data processing languages such as SQL and Python and familiar with Google Cloud Platform tools.

Responsibilities

Database Management: Standardization and Structuring of Customer and Marketing Performance Data

  • Define, select and validate relevant customer data for segmentation and predictive analysis.
  • Improve the quality and enrichment of the customer database by supporting the teams with appropriate methodology, processes and tools for data cleansing, enrichment, and maintenance.
  • Support and define the data collection program, using internal or external data sources.
  • Participate in the definition of the proper structuring and storage solution for the data.

Analysis, Dashboard and Reporting: data analysis and implementation/optimization of monitoring and forecasting tools

  • Produce insights and self-served tool to support and challenge operational teams on marketing and sales strategy.
  • Conceptualize and develop complex algorithms to meet various internal modeling needs.
  • Support teams in defining key performance indicators (KPI) in relation to business objectives.
  • Participate in creation and optimization of analytical and machine learning tools.

Supporting the teams

  • Spearhead best data and analytics practices within the Marketing team and continuously optimize data processing, management, analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure the proper appropriation of the various tooling solutions by the different users.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable academic background in business/management/economics/statistics or data processing.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a data analyst.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Mastery of data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker Studio);
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and Machine Learning methodology.
  • Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Big Query
  • Proactive, flexible, and communicative
  • Methodical, rigorous with a great capacity of analysis
  • Customer oriented with a good understanding of business issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English *
  • Outstanding analytical skills, recognized organizational skills and excellent team spirit.
  • Knowledge of the travel industry is an asset.     

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
