Title: Senior Software Engineer – Real-Time Processing Platform

Job Summary

We seek a skilled and innovative Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable real-time data processing platforms for our retail media measurement solution. In this role, you will work at the forefront of software engineering, leveraging cutting-edge tools and frameworks to handle streaming data and enable near-real-time decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Analysts, and other Software Engineers, to deliver robust solutions that power business-critical applications in the retail media space.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Tech Lead to support the delivery of the backlog and mentor junior Engineers to foster their development. You will be expected to achieve an end-to-end understanding of the application while being the point of context for Java-based systems, .NET integration, and Apache Kafka implementations. Your expertise in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable APIs and real-time data processing systems will be crucial in driving the success of our retail media measurement platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and real-time data processing systems using Java, .NET, Python and streaming technologies
• Performance: Build and optimize distributed systems to handle high-throughput, low-latency data processing for retail media applications.
• System Architecture: Define and implement architecture for processing high-velocity and high-volume data streams while ensuring data consistency, integrity, and low latency with high resiliency.
• Integration: Integrate various data sources, APIs, and third-party services into the real-time processing platform.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Develop monitoring and alerting systems to ensure pipeline reliability and quick troubleshooting of issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for pipelines, data models, and system configurations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professional experience in software development with a strong focus on .NET.
• Solid understanding of .NET technologies (C#)
• Expertise in Apache Kafka, including designing topics, partitions, consumer groups, and stream processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization.
