Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

As an Insights Analyst, you will leverage one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world to create compelling, impactful and actionable insights for our company, internal sales partners and clients across APAC. You will have the opportunity to bring our Talent Intelligence narrative to life and lead the movement of data-driven decision making for our clients.

In this client-facing role, you will shape how we create value for LinkedIn and our Talent & Learning Solutions clients. You will be responsible for managing analytical projects and developing and delivering analysis/tools through data-driven recommendations in a visually compelling way. You will present these recommendations to audiences across the internal sale teams, and external clients, and act as a LinkedIn Insights subject matter expert who is able to drive thought leadership in the field of workforce analytics and deliver complex analysis in a simplified and impactful way.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data set of over 1B members to create innovative and strategic analysis to address our clients’ business challenges.
  • Write SQL queries to extract necessary data, analyse this data using by either using Trino, Excel or Jupyter notebook.
  • Present your actionable insights with a clear “So What” back to our customers.
  • Build cross functional consensus for operational improvements and partner effectively with other teams.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to stakeholders.
  • Work on global or regional projects that have been prioritised by the team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics and/or consulting
  • 2+ years of experience with a data querying language such as SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, statistical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to convert a complex data set into an actionable recommendation
  • Experience with visualising data
  • Experience with basic Python
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with data services, engineering, marketing and sales teams
  • Fluency in Mandarin to service local clients
