Power BI Report Developer

OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Power BI Report Developer to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Power BI Report Developer will play a critical role in assisting with the implementation of a new financial system by building dynamic, user-friendly financial reports in Power BI. This individual will be responsible for connecting various data sources, creating integrated datasets, and developing reports that empower business users with self-service analytics. The role requires expertise in Power BI report development, a strong understanding of financial data, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for the business.

• Design and build robust PBI reports and dashboards tailored to the financial needs of the organization.
• Ensure reports are intuitive and visually compelling, enabling end users to easily interpret and interact with the data.
• Connect, integrate and transform data from multiple financial systems and sources to create cohesive datasets for reporting. 
• Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient report performance and data accuracy.
• Work closely with finance and business teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable PowerBI reports. 
• Ensure that reports align with financial reporting standards and organizational goals.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed reports, addressing any issues or updates as needed.  
• Continuously evaluate new Power BI features and data visualizations to enhance reporting capabilities.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis
• Power BI Advanced Training, Financial Reporting and Data Analysis, Database Management and SQL Training (Optional)
• Adapting approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
• Making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
• Creating new and better ways for the organisation to be successful.
• Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.
• Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
• Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Proficient in financial modelling and reporting tools.
• Agile working approach, willing to be flexible and lean in as needed.
