About the team  

Modernising operations is vital to an organisation's growth and transformation. At Deloitte, the experts in our Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data teams use leading technologies to uncover new, efficient ways to do business.  We work with our clients to transform and run their technology platforms, optimise their operations, and help them take advantage of new technologies, drive innovation, improve financial performance and accelerate speed to market.

What will a typical day look like? 

We have teams that operate across several areas:  

Tech Advisory  

Be part of a team advising clients upfront on the tech solutions we offer.   In this team, be involved in:

• helping organisations bring their strategy to life through efficient, effective, and future-ready operations
• working on our client's most critical challenges by providing business-led, technology-enabled advisory services to deliver technology and operational solutions for our clients 
• contribute to designs, workshops and architecture solutions and engage in vendor and client sessions 

 Tech Implementation  

 Now that your client has agreed on the solution, be part of the team that provides the architecture that helps answer the question, ‘How should we do this’?   Our experts guide clients along their journey to adopting modern technology and working methods.   In this team, be involved in:

• providing guidance to clients on crafting technology strategies, operational models, and contemporary architectures, as well as delivering product/program management and technology-driven business transformation services 

• teaming up with our clients and tech partners to provide cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure), network and security, and digital workplace solutions to help deliver application-focused outcomes 

Business Advisory 
 

Love the idea of how tech and business processes can transform a business without getting technical yourself?  This is the team you should choose.  In this team, you will work with clients to advise on our client’s core business operations to maximise operational efficiency and optimise capital assets.

Artificial Intelligence & Data

In this team, be involved in:

• working with emerging tech like robotics, intelligent automation, and machine learning to redesign knowledge-based work

• harnessing your creativity to design and implement next-gen solutions to help our clients better manage, protect, share and innovate with their data

• levelling up by receiving training on a variety of methods and tools including advanced visualisation, rapid prototyping, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text analytics, real-time decisioning, machine learning.

We know that as a student, you may not necessarily have a tonne of work experience, and that’s okay! At Deloitte, we see past experience and value your ethic and potential to grow more than anything else. You’re someone who:

• Someone with a unique approach to problem-solving with combination of a logical thinking and creativity 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• A drive for difficult problem solving 
• Works best collaboratively – you thrive when working with teams
• Has a true passion for all things tech – majored in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (eg. telecommunications, electrical, network), Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Software Engineering.     

• Lives to solve problems and is comfortable communicating your crazy ideas to non-technical audiences  
• Has a passion for programming, web APIs, cloud computing, software as a service (SaaS)  
• Might have coding skills in .net, C#, Perl, Python and Java (a plus, not a must!)   
• Might have certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Cicso, F5 Networks, HP, Red Hat (highly desirable)
